PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Authorities are investigating the death of a 2-month-old girl in the city's Germantown neighborhood.
It was around 7:45 a.m. Tuesday, when police said officers and medics were called to a home on the 400 block of Mechanic Street, near Germantown Avenue, for a report of an unresponsive infant.
The girl was rushed to Einstein Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead about an hour later.
The cause and circumstances surrounding her death are still unknown.
Police have not released any further details.
