PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The Philadelphia Police Department says that a firefighter has been hospitalized in stable condition after being struck by a fire engine.
The accident happened at about 2:55 p.m. Monday at the Engine 13 station at the corner of 16th and Parrish streets in North Philadelphia.
Police say the driver was backing the truck into the firehouse when hit the firefighter, who is 55.
He was taken to Jefferson University Hospital for care.
