PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A severe storm blew through the Philadelphia region Saturday afternoon, damaging homes and downing trees.
In West Philadelphia, a roof was partially ripped away from a home on 55th and Vine streets.
And according to our newsgathering partners at NBC10, there was a partial building collapse near 24th Street and Washington Avenue. The building is vacant. Bricks and other debris had fallen on a Jeep.
There are no reports of injuries in either incident.
There are numerous reports of trees down, not just in the city, but in Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Bucks counties.
Just before 6 p.m., PECO had reported about 38,000 power outages across the area.
A flash flood warning is in effect until 6:45 p.m.
