
PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — For a second day in a row, TSA officers prevented someone from boarding a plane with a gun at Philadelphia International Airport.
The TSA said a handgun was found inside a Norristown woman’s carry-on bag at a security checkpoint on Wednesday. The gun was turned over to Philadelphia police and the woman received a criminal citation.
On Tuesday, a Florida man was cited for having a handgun in his carry-on at Philly International.
The TSA said 31 guns have been intercepted at PHL so far this year. A record 45 guns were found last year.
