PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A fight inside a car in Point Breeze spilled onto the street, and police said the driver hit one of the people involved.
Around 2 a.m., police said several passengers in a Jeep Compass were fighting, so the driver stopped at 16th and Tasker streets. The people got out and the fight continued outside the car.
At some point, the driver hit the gas and intentionally struck one of the passengers, police said. That person was taken to the hospital. Their condition was not immediately released.
Several parked cars were hit as well. The driver’s side of the Jeep was smashed and the airbags were deployed. There was shattered glass and debris all over the road and sidewalk.
It was not immediately clear if anyone was arrested. Police did not say what the fight was about or exactly how many people were involved.
