12-year-old wounded by stray bullet in North Philly, police say

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A 12-year-old boy was wounded after a shooting on Tuesday in North Philadelphia, according to police.

Authorities said the shooting occurred around 6:45 p.m. near 18th and Huntingdon streets.

Police found the child wounded and took him to a nearby hospital, where he was reported in stable condition.

Investigators believe he was hit by a stray bullet.
