Police: 3 men rob parking garage attendant at gunpoint in Chinatown

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia police are searching for three men they say robbed a parking garage attendant at gunpoint in Chinatown.

The robbery took place at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday at a parking garage on Ninth and Race streets.

Police say three men entered the garage in a stolen blue Ford Explorer, pulled a handgun on the attendant and forced him inside the booth. The trio assaulted the attendant, police say, and stole money from the cash register and a safe from the office.

The men fled.

The car had the Pennsylvania tag JSK4296.
