PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia detectives are looking for a woman they say has been missing since this weekend when she went to work, and her family said it’s very unlike her.
Police said Kada Scott, 23, was last seen leaving her home on Rodney Street in East Mount Airy on Saturday, Oct. 4, to go work the overnight shift at a nursing home nearby.
Captain John Craig with Northwest Detectives said she got to work, but left prior to completing her shift. He said police recovered her vehicle in the parking lot of her workplace.
Investigators said family and friends have told them that Scott disappearing in such a manner is very unlike her. They said she has a large social media following and would be in touch in some way, but her phone has been off since her disappearance and she hasn’t been heard from.
“In the days prior to her disappearance, Ms. Scott relayed to family and friends that unknown individuals or [a] person had been harassing her via phone,” said Craig.
He pleaded with the public for any tips.
“No matter what information you have, think of it as a possible piece to a large jigsaw puzzle,” said Craig. “If there is a hundred pieces to a puzzle, you may think your piece is insignificant, but without your piece, that jigsaw puzzle is not being solved.”
