PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia police are searching for a man they say tried to abduct a 2-year-old from his mother in North Philadelphia.
On Oct. 17 around noon, video shows the toddler walking with his mother on 11th Street, near Dauphin Street, when a man comes up and pulls the child away.
The mother was able to hold on to him, and the suspect fled across the street.
The suspect is believed to be in his 30s. He was wearing maroon sweatpants and a navy blue shirt, with a back brace or a light jacket around his waist.
Anyone with information about the man is asked to call 911 or contact the Special Victims Unit at 215-685-3251. Anonymous tips can be made by calling 215-686-8477 or texting 773847.
