Police searching for driver in deadly Pennsauken hit-and-run

The victim's family is pleading with the driver to surrender to authorities

The family of a man killed in a hit-and-run early Tuesday in Camden County has made a plea for the driver to fess up.

Shadid Fauntleroy, 32, was crossing Rt. 130 at Drexel Avenue in Pennsauken when an SUV plowed into him and kept going. His sister, Tanere, says this should weigh heavily on the driver's conscience.

SOUTH JERSEY (KYW Newsradio) — Pennsauken police are searching for the driver involved in a deadly hit-and-run early Tuesday morning.

It was just after midnight when police say a 32-year-old man was struck and killed by a driver traveling southbound along Route 130 near Drexel Avenue. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police believe the SUV that hit the 32-year-old was a silver, early-2000s model Mercedes. It would have major front end damage. Authorities in Camden County are working to find the vehicle and the driver, but they need more information.
