PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police have brought in excavators to dig up a pipe at a house in Olney that was raided by investigators last month. The house may be connected to at least one woman’s disappearance.
Detectives are overseeing the work at the now boarded-up property near Chew Avenue and Lawrence Street in Olney.
Workers used a saw to cut into the pavement out front. The crime scene unit was also on site.
The house is owned by 44-year-old Eugene Horsch. It previously belonged to his father, Raymond Horsch, who was convicted of manufacturing drugs and died last year.
Investigators were led to the house after Eugene Horsch was arrested last month. Police said he had a switchblade in his pocket, fake DEA credentials, and two guns with obliterated serial numbers.
Eugene Horsch was with a woman at the time of the arrest. When police asked the woman for identification, she handed over an ID with her picture on it, but the name was that of a person who had been reported missing for years.
When they raided the home last month, police found ballistic evidence, a handgun and ammunition, as well as a 55-gallon drum connected to waterlines.

A pipe is the focus of the excavation, but detectives have not said how it plays into their investigation.
