Police officials said Officer Wayne Arnold choked a woman, causing her to lose consciousness. She was also scratched on her neck.

Arnold is a 30-year veteran, recently assigned to drug investigations.

He has been arraigned on the charges and court documents list his trial for the end of the month.

Arnold has been suspended for a month with the intent to dismiss, which is subject to the police contract.
