
PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A Philadelphia police officer and two civilians were hurt in a car crash in southwest Center City Thursday morning.
Around 7:30 a.m., authorities said an officer in a police SUV got into a crash with a Toyota SUV at 20th and Christian streets.
Medics took the officer to the hospital, where he was treated and released. The two other people involved in the crash were taken to the hospital and are expected to be released at some point.
Police did not provide a cause of the crash. The front end of the police SUV was smashed, and the Toyota sustained passenger-side damage.
