PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Delaware State Police have released a video that shows the three suspects wanted for the shooting Saturday night at Christiana Mall that resulted in three people hospitalized.
On Saturday, around 6:43 p.m., Delaware State Police responded to reports of an active shooter at the entrance to the food court inside Christiana Mall in New Castle County. When officials arrived, they found three gunshot victims in the food court.
Earlier, investigators say, three male suspects, all in their late teens and wearing dark clothing, confronted and assaulted an 18-year-old male as he was exiting the food court. Two of his friends got involved, escalating the altercation.
During the fight, one suspect took a handgun from his waistband and fired several rounds, hitting the first victim and one of his friends, a 16-year-old boy, each with three rounds in the torso and legs. They were taken to area hospitals and are now in stable condition.
Another 18-year-old victim, standing on the sidewalk outside, near the mall entrance, was hit by a bullet in the leg. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspects fled the scene and have not yet been found.
