PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia police are investigating an attack and robbery of luxury cars at an Old City parking garage early Thursday morning.
It happened around 4:30 a.m. along Race Street, between Second and Third streets.
Investigators said two armed suspects approached the parking booth window and struck it with a gun while a parking attendant was inside. They then punched and kicked in the glass.
The attendant eventually opened the door, police said, and one of the suspects pointed a gun at him. The suspects took two sets of keys and fled.
At least one other suspect was sitting in a car parked near the booth.
In all, officials said the group stole an orange or yellow Lamborghini and a dark gray Porsche.
The Major Crimes Unit is handling the investigation.
The parking attendant suffered wounds from the broken glass but is otherwise physically OK.
