PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A shooting in West Philadelphia has left two people wounded, including a 19-year-old pregnant woman who was placed in critical condition in what police called a devastating scene.
The double shooting happened around 11:30 a.m. Friday near the corner of 46th and Market streets near a SEPTA station.
Arthur works near the crime scene and said Friday was like any other morning when the double shooting suddenly happened.
"Somebody was shooting around the corner, like five times," said Arthur.
Police said the pregnant woman was shot twice, once in the chest and one time in her side. A 21-year-old man was shot in the arm.
Both victims were taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, with the woman listed in critical condition. The man was listed in stable condition.

Christian lives just a block away. She said that after this shooting, as a woman, she just doesn’t feel safe anymore.
"You always have to watch your back," she said.
"We already have to be so on guard as it is, just walking around every day."
Police believe the incident was targeted, but they were not sure who the attackers were aiming at.
No one was initially arrested, with investigators having no immediate word of a motive, but they recovered a weapon at the scene.
