PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society and Chanticleer Garden are hosting a new spring series. Once a month, starting in April, the two horticultural powerhouses are teaming up for the region’s gardening pleasure.
“We’ve been long-time partners with Chanticleer Garden, out in Radner, and we’re hosting a monthly season program that’s going to flip between their sites and our sites,” said Christina Taserro with PHS.
Taserro says they will have something for every garden enthusiast.
“It’s going to cover the gamut of vegetable gardening, ornament gardening and native plants,” she said.
The next event, on April 17, is hosted by PHS City Harvest & Weavers Way Farms Greenhouse at Awbury Arboretum at 6336 Ardleigh Street in East Mt. Airy.
The focus will be immersive gardening classes led by professional horticulturists. It’s all designed to build gardening skills and inspire that green thumb.
