PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police in Reading are investigating the killings of an infant and his mother.

The body of 31-year-old Geraldina Peguero-Mancebo was found on Friday, Sept. 19, in a field in Ontelaunee Township, Berks County. Her son, 1-year-old Jeyden, was found dead the next day, his body partially submerged in a marshy area nearby. Both had been reported missing a week before.

Their deaths were both ruled homicides.

They lived with a man, Junior Cabrera-Colon, who was found shot to death in the trees near a park in Reading on Sept. 13.

Police said 61-year-old Jose Luis Rodriguez confessed to killing him and dumping his body. Investigators have not said whether they believe he was involved in the deaths of Peguero-Mancebo and her son.
