PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Abington police are searching for a man who robbed a gas station at gunpoint Sunday while wearing rollerblades.
They said it happened just after 7:30 p.m. at the Lukoil on the corner of Old York and Moreland Roads.
Authorities said the suspect entered the store armed with a handgun and knife, demanded the cash from the register, and threatened to shoot the cashier if he didn't comply.
He then left, and police said he skated away going south on Old York Road.
Abington Township Deputy Police Chief Ed Quinn told NBC10, "the roller blades definitely stand out. His jacket was a two-toned white and tan coat, as well as a camouflage backpack.”
