PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A crash on Roosevelt Boulevard killed two people early Saturday morning, including a preteen boy, according to police.

Authorities said the 57-year-old driver of a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe lost control and hit a curb in the southbound lanes near Whitaker Avenue, at 12:10 a.m. The SUV went airborne and hit two other cars stopped at the red light.
Two passengers in the Tahoe, an 11-year-old boy and his 34-year-old mother, were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and two other passengers, a 12-year-old girl and 15-year-old boy, were taken to nearby hospitals and listed in critical condition.
There were no serious injuries to anyone in the other vehicles. Investigators said the driver of the Tahoe was speeding at the time of the accident.
