PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Several children and a woman were hurt on Thursday after a school bus driver blew through a red light and crashed into a car in Wilmington, police said.

It happened around 2:30 p.m. at Eighth and Washington streets.

When officers got to the scene, they found a 39-year-old woman and an 8-year-old girl trapped in a car.

First responders got them out and took them to the hospital, where they are in stable condition.

Four children on the bus were also taken to the hospital to be checked out.

There’s no word yet on whether the 29-year-old bus driver will face any charges.
