DELAWARE COUNTY, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — Chester police are searching for a 2-year-old boy who has reportedly been missing for months.

The boy has been identified as Jeremiah Cottman, also known as Jarimah Cottman or Jamar Ferguson. Police say on Thursday, his maternal grandmother called Delaware County’s Children and Youth Services unit and notified them that the boy has not been seen since May.

According to the Chester City Help, Incident, and Resource Page on Facebook, he was last seen on May 28 at Memorial Park for his birthday. He was born on May 30, 2023.

Social workers asked the boy’s mother to bring him to county facilities to check his welfare, but she has yet to do so. They say she has been uncooperative with search efforts.

Children and Youth Services is seeking a court order.

Police described the boy as 3-feet-tall, with brown eyes and short black hair.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 immediately, referencing case 25-027776.
