DELAWARE COUNTY, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — A 2-year-old boy who had been reported missing for months has been found safe in Philadelphia, according to Chester police.

On Wednesday, police responded to a reported argument at the home of Jeremiah Cottman's mother and learned that family members had not seen the boy since May 28 for his birthday. He was born on May 30, 2023.

According to our newsgathering partners at NBC10, police then learned the boy may have been with his grandparents, who frequent the Philadelphia area.

Police located the boy Saturday night at a home on 40th and Spruce streets, a place where they believed he had recently stayed with his grandparents.

The boy was taken to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for evaluation. Two people who were inside the home at the time were taken into custody.

Cottman is in the custody of Children and Youth Services.
