PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A SEPTA bus got stuck in freshly poured cement in South Philly.
It happened Thursday evening in front of Termini Bros. Bakery on Eighth Street.
Video shows a pothole filled with newly poured cement and traffic barricades blocking off the street. A couple people are seen moving the barricades out of the way for the bus — only for its back wheel to immediately dip and sink into the sealant.
Termini Bros posted the video on Facebook, saying, “Literally 2 minutes after the holes were filled with concrete, this happens.”
SEPTA said the bus was cleared about 45 minutes later.
SEPTA also said a detour was in effect for the road work, and the bus should not have driven down that block.
