PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police are trying to identify a man who exposed himself and robbed a woman on a subway train last week.
It happened around 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 18 on a northbound train along the Broad Street Line. A woman told SEPTA Transit Police that after the train left the Olney station, a man approached her and grabbed her arms while she was talking on her phone.
The man then pulled down his pants, exposed himself, and stole her phone. He ran out of the subway at the Fern Rock stop and ditched the phone near 10th Street and Nedro Avenue.
He was last seen trying to board a SEPTA bus while shirtless.
The victim’s husband arrived and found her phone near the entrance of the Fern Rock Transit Center.
The Philadelphia Police Department’s Special Victims Unit is investigating the case.
