PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A shooting victim in New Castle County, Delaware flagged down a school bus for help Tuesday evening.

Police said the shooting happened near Old Forge and Appleby roads in the Wilton neighborhood. Officials don’t know how far away the bus was at the time, but it was not hit, and no one on board was injured.

Authorities said the school bus driver drove the victim, an adult man, down the street to a nearby church. Someone there called 911, and the man was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said the children’s parents were all notified. The school bus is being held as evidence.
