PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A man was shot and killed in his Jeep in North Philadelphia early Friday morning.
It happened around 4 a.m. near Second and West Cambria streets in the Fairhill neighborhood. Police said someone fired into the man’s SUV at least 10 times.
Chief Inspector Scott Small said responding officers found him around the corner.
“We believe the shooting took place on the 100 block of West Cambria and he was able to drive about a block and a half to the 2800 block of North Second Street, and that’s where we found him in the Jeep,” he said.
The victim was slumped over in the driver’s seat.
Police are looking at surveillance video from the area to try to identify the shooter.
