PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police are searching for whoever is responsible for firing a barrage of bullets into a ride-hailing driver’s car overnight in Fairmount.
It happened around 3 a.m. Wednesday at 24th and Poplar streets.
The 42-year-old driver was parked, waiting to pick up a rider, when someone in a white Chevy Impala started shooting at him, he told police.
He suffered a graze wound but was able to drive to police headquarters. He was then treated at the hospital and released.
His SUV was riddled with 12 bullet holes.
There’s no word yet on a motive.
