PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A 20-year-old New Jersey man has been charged with attempted murder after an altercation Sunday night inside a Camden County Wawa.
Marcus L. Norman of Sicklerville was charged with attempted murder and weapon offenses. Authorities said what started as an argument inside a Winslow Township Wawa quickly turned into a double shooting.
Police said Norman and another 20-year-old man had a disagreement inside the store at Sicklerville and Williamstown New Freedom Road shortly after 9 p.m. Surveillance video, they say, showed Norman punch the other man, pull a gun and fire.
When officers arrived, they found Norman suffering from what they said was a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the hand. The other man walked into a hospital a short time later, also suffering from a gunshot wound. Police have not released his condition.
Norman was arrested in Sicklerville and is being held in county prison.
