PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The Philadelphia Health Department is getting some more help from the NBA Eastern Conference's top-seeded playoff team, in an effort to get COVID-19 vaccines in more people ages 12 and over.

The Philadelphia 76ers are donating hundreds of playoff t-shirts and a few autographed items as incentives at the department's Johnson & Johnson vaccination clinic at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

On Friday, and then next Tuesday and Wednesday, the first 100 people to get the vaccine will get a t-shirt.

One person, chosen at a secret pre-selected time, will get the autographed memorabilia.

The clinic runs from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday and from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.

Earlier this month, the team used two vaccine clinics to give away 500 tickets to its final regular season game.

The Sixers have a 2-0 series lead over the Washington Wizards in their first-round playoff series, with game three in Washington on Saturday.
