SOUTH JERSEY (KYW Newsradio) — Burlington County is offering a new, free shuttle service to help get residents where they need to go.
SJ Connects is expanding its service into Burlington County with 11 new stops, starting Sept. 21. The stops include important locations like grocery stores, the library, transit centers and the Moorestown Mall.
State Sen. Troy Singleton encourages everyone to take advantage of the free service.
“Transportation lines that will take residents of Burlington County through our eds and meds corridor to have the opportunity to gain gainful employment and a healthy lifestyle is exactly the outcome that we want,” he said.
The 11 stops include:
- Pennsauken Transit Center
- Cinnaminson Avenue at Broad Street (Borough Park)
- Cinnaminson Shop Rite
- Lenola Road at Executive Drive
- Fox Meadow Apartments
- Walmart/Red Roof Inn
- Moorestown Mall (Boscov’s Garden Center)
- Cooper University Health Care
- Moorestown Library and Town Hall
- Church Street at Whittendale Drive
- Twosome Drive at Church Street
Singleton said strong ridership is needed to keep this running long-term. “Do not hesitate to check the schedule to make sure you’re a part of it,” he added.
The shuttle is paid for through public-private partnerships, including investments from New Jersey Transit. Several other shuttle routes are running throughout counties in South Jersey.
