PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Social communication and our personal interactions with others has an impact on our energy levels.

According to a study from the University of Vienna, people who experience social isolation for more than eight hours can experience fatigue. The study was performed during the pandemic. It has huge implications for those who live alone, and it may also lead to further studies of people who work from home.

It is well known that long-term isolation impacts energy levels, but the fact that there is a measurable decrease in just eight hours suggests a need for a closer look.
