PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police have shot and killed one of three suspects accused of shooting at a police vehicle in South Philadelphia.
One officer was injured during the shootout, but was not shot.
The shooting happened at about 7:20 p.m. Tuesday night on Barbara Street between South 18th Street and Moyamensing Avenue, according to authorities.
Police say the suspect was shot in the back and taken to a hospital. He was pronounced dead at about 7:40 p.m. Tuesday.
Two others have been taken into custody.
