PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — After 38 years, longtime Philadelphia sports radio host Howard Eskin is leaving KYW Newsradio’s sister station 94 WIP.
Eskin posted about his departure on X, formerly Twitter, Friday afternoon, saying he is “moving on from Sportsradio WIP.”
"I leave the station with great affection for the listeners who have made the work I do so fulfilling during my time there," he said. "I’m looking forward to what comes next."
Eskin has been with WIP since 1986, when the station was 610 WIP on AM radio.
He has been working as a sideline reporter during the Eagles broadcast on WIP this season.
In a statement, Audacy, the parent company of WIP and KYW, thanked Howard for his years of contributions to WIP.
