PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police said a man in North Philadelphia stabbed a woman, beat another with a crowbar, and sexually assaulted one of them.
It happened around 3 a.m. Friday near Dauphin and Cleveland streets.
Police found a woman stabbed in the leg and took her to the hospital. She told investigators that the man who stabbed her was assaulting another woman in a house on Cleveland Street.
“When police entered that property, they found this male assaulting a female, and she had some injuries to her head,” said Chief Inspector Scott Small. “They immediately took the male into custody.”
Small said they found a crowbar and a knife in the house, as well as a lot of blood.
Investigators believe the house is vacant and may be used as a flophouse for people to use drugs.
Both women are in stable condition.
