PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — After the Eagles’ Super Bowl victory Sunday night, droves of fans flooded city streets to celebrate. Police say a few of them took that celebration too far, making 18 arrests and issuing 29 citations. Authorities are still looking for some other people.

In video all over social media, a group of men can be seen tearing down a pole with a traffic signal attached and carrying it through the crowd toward City Hall. Authorities say they are working to identify the crew through surveillance and cell phone videos.

Six arrests were for assaults on police officers after a brawl broke out on Broad Street near Sansom Street. Video shows a group fighting and then clashing with officers—some on foot, some on bikes. None of the officers had severe injuries.

Four other people face charges of reckless endangerment, aggravated assault and disorderly conduct, which could potentially land them in jail.

Four sanitation trucks were trashed by people jumping on the vehicles. In total, eight people were arrested for vandalism.

Most of the vandalism was along Walnut Street, near 15th and 16th streets. Windows were smashed in some buildings, including clothing stores Brooks Brothers and Free People, and two bank branches, a Santander and a Chase.

More than two dozen people were issued citations of disorderly conduct ranging from urinating in public to fighting.

The numbers could grow as city officials survey the damage.

City crews were still working late Monday morning to clear confetti, trash and other debris from some areas of Center City.

The city's celebration following their win in the NFC Championship game last month was marred when a college student fell after climbing a street pole and died from his injuries.

The Eagles were expected to return to Philadelphia late Monday afternoon, and a large contingent of fans was expected to greet them.
