Suspect wanted for punching man on SEPTA train, leaving him concussed

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the person who attacked a man on a SEPTA train on Halloween night.

It happened on Oct. 31 around 5:30 p.m. on a Market-Frankford Line train in the area of Columbus Boulevard and Spring Garden Street.

Police said a 38-year-old man was punched several times in the head and face by the unknown suspect, leaving him with a concussion.

Surveillance video

The suspect was described as having a short ponytail and was wearing a gray sweatshirt and orange pants at the time of the assault, according to officials.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to submit a tip by calling or texting 215-686-8477. Tips can also be submitted anonymously online.
