PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The FBI is asking for the public’s help in identifying at least one of three men who robbed the driver of an armored car last year during a cash pickup at a Rite Aid in the Cobbs Creek section of the city.

It happened around 7:30 a.m. on Nov. 22, 2024, at the Rite Aid on Baltimore Avenue, near 53rd Street.

Shortly after the van arrived, authorities said a dark-colored Buick Enclave pulled up on the passenger side of the van. When the Gardaworld security guard returned to the van with the cash, the FBI said a man wearing an Amazon worker’s vest and a ski mask attacked him with a baton.

The driver of the Buick then got out and attacked the guard as well, using brass knuckles. Officials said he took the guard’s pistol.

The suspects took the cash and fled in the Buick, which was driven by a third man.
