PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A 15-year-old has been charged in connection with a deadly shooting that ended in a car crash along White Horse Pike (Route 30) in Atlantic County.
According to prosecutors, Mullica Township police responded to a single-car crash on White Horse Pike, near Snow Hill Road, on Friday night. There, they found the driver, 19-year-old Javonte Stallworth, dead with a gunshot wound to the head.
Witnesses told police they saw two juveniles flee on foot. Police eventually caught up with them and took them into custody for questioning.
Prosecutors said one of them — a 15-year-old only identified as A.H., of Mullica Township — was subsequently arrested and charged with aggravated manslaughter and several gun offenses.
The teen was transported to the Harborfields Juvenile Detention Center.
