PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Pennsylvania State Police have identified the four people involved in a fatal crash involving a stolen SUV early Saturday. The driver was killed, while three passengers were injured.

State police said it was just after midnight when troopers from Skippack Township tried to pull over a white Kia Soul for traffic violations on Route 422 eastbound near Lewis Road in Limerick Township.

According to authorities, the driver of the Kia, 18-year-old Zachery Carbo of Norristown, failed to stop, and a police chase ensued.

Carbo continued eastbound on Route 422 in Upper Merion Township until he crashed into a concrete barrier. He died at the scene.

The three passengers — 19-year-olds Sanjay Robinson and Nicholas Veneziale, and 20-year-old Mateo Johnson-Moss — were taken to the hospital for treatment. Their conditions are not yet known.

The Kia had been reported stolen out of West Norriton Township around 7 a.m.

An investigation is ongoing.
