PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia police are trying to figure out who dumped a 15-year-old boy’s body in a driveway in Mayfair.
It happened around 6 p.m. Thursday near Revere and Robbins streets.
“We’re getting information from at least one witness that a white vehicle pulled into the driveway and pushed this 15-year-old’s body out of the vehicle from the passenger side, then went into reverse … traveling east on Robbins,” said Chief Inspector Scott Small.
The boy, later identified as Rasheid Lynch, had gunshot wounds to his chest, shoulder and lower back. Police do not know if he was shot on Robbins Street or somewhere else.
Police also don’t know why he was dumped there, as he doesn’t live there. Lynch lives about half a mile away.
Investigators are looking through surveillance video from several homes in the area to try to identify a suspect. So far, no arrests have been made.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the Homicide Unit at 215-686-3334 or submit an anonymous tip to 215-686-TIPS. As with all homicides, a $20,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
