PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A 17-year-old was shot and critically injured while he and a friend were handling a gun inside a house in South Philadelphia Tuesday night.
It happened around 7:30 p.m. near Ninth and Shunk streets.
Police said two or three teens were handling a gun owned by an adult who lives in the house. Investigators said they don’t know if the teen shot himself or if someone else shot him.
They said the other people who were in the house are not cooperating.
The teen was taken to the hospital in critical condition but is expected to recover.
