WILMINGTON, Del. (KYW Newsradio) — Two teenagers were killed and another was wounded in separate shootings in Wilmington, Delaware, Sunday afternoon.
The shootings happened within an hour of each other and about 3 miles apart.
Police first responded to a shooting at 34th and West streets around 3:15 p.m. A 19-year-old was shot; he was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
About an hour later, police were called to West Second and North DuPont streets, where two teens had been shot.
Both were taken to the hospital. An 18-year-old victim was initially in critical condition and later died. A 15-year-old was left in critical condition, police said.
Police did not provide the motives for the shootings, and they gave no indication that they were connected. No one has been arrested.
A third shooting happened in Wilmington Sunday night on Christiana Avenue. A 29-year-old man was shot around 7 p.m. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition. The motive is unclear, and no one has been arrested.
