PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — It’s not just a place to leave your car. Apparently, it’s a teen hangout, too.
Police in Lansdale are launching extra patrols around the SEPTA parking garage because it’s become a place for fights and underage drinking among teens and young adults.
In a Facebook post, the police department said it has had to respond repeatedly to the garage.
The garage on Main Street is private property, police noted, and is to be used only for the parking of vehicles. The department warned parents not to drop off their kids at the garage or to let them use it as a gathering spot.
Lansdale police said anyone found loitering or trespassing could be subject to a citation or arrest.
