PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Temple University Senior Associate Athletic Director for Strategic Communications Larry Dougherty has served there for some two decades.
He came to the Owls after spending 15 years promoting the athletic programs at his alma mater, Saint Joseph’s University.
KYW Newsradio caught up with Dougherty to talk about his career, discussing the favorite part of his job.
“I get the most — the biggest joy — out of sharing a story that's going to inspire others,” said Dougherty.

“When you see some student-athlete doing something and getting that publicity and knowing that's touching lives. To me, that's the biggest thing that we can do here. Everyone wins and loses games, but when you can share something that's going to touch someone's life, that's the most important thing we do.”
