PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Authorities in Cumberland County, New Jersey, have arrested and charged a man in connection with a shooting at a party in Fairfield Township, but prosecutors have not said that he is the suspected gunman.
Larry McCray, 39, of Bridgeton is facing two counts of unlawful possession of a handgun and is being held in the county jail.
He is the third person arrested for the shooting at a house party that killed three people and injured about a dozen others last month.
Authorities say at this time, the investigation has not pointed to McCray as the suspected trigger man and police have not said if he had any role in the shooting.
Two other men, 30-year-old Darrell Dawkins and 36-year-old Kevin Dawkins, were arrested and charged last month with firearms violations.
None of the men arrested have been charged with homicide so far. Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact police or the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office.
