Third suspect in Roxborough High School shooting in police custody

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A 15-year-old suspect who was wanted in the shooting outside of Roxborough High School on Sept. 27 is now in police custody.

Philadelphia police say Troy Fletcher surrendered to homicide detectives on Monday. He is the third suspect who has been arrested.

Dayron Burney-Thorn, 16, is the fourth suspect to have been identified.

The U.S. Marshals have offered a $5,000 cash reward for information leading directly to his arrest. Burney-Thorn is listed as 6 feet, 3 inches tall and 215 pounds.

Another $45,000 is being offered from the city for the arrest and conviction for all suspects involved.

In addition to the four suspects, city officials say the investigation continues into at least two other unknown suspects.

Fletcher was sentenced to 20 to 40 years behind bars in February 2025.
