PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Buy any frozen waffles lately? You may want to check the label.

TreeHouse Foods announced a voluntary recall Thursday for hundreds of frozen waffles sold at major retailers like Walmart, Target, Kroger, Aldi and Food Lion due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

Affected brands include Kodiak Cakes, Great Value, and Good & Gather.

TreeHouse says it discovered the issue through routine testing at its facility. So far, no illnesses have been reported.

People are urged to check the UPC on the back of the carton as well as the Lot Code and Best By Date to see if matches any on the recall list, which can be found here. If you have a recalled item, TreeHouse says to either throw it out or return it to the place of purchase for credit.

Listeria monocytogenes can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and those with weakened immune systems.
