FISHTOWN (KYW Newsradio) — An Uber driver was killed and one of his four passengers was injured after he got into an accident and his vehicle caught fire Saturday night in Fishtown.

Police say the 31-year-old man was driving along Marlborough Street around 9 p.m. when he suddenly experienced some sort of medical emergency and lost control of his car. It crashed into several parked vehicles under the I-95 overpass and then went up in flames, according to authorities.

One of the passengers was injured in the accident, but the three others made it out unscathed. All four made it out before the car went up in flames, but police said the driver did not.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash is still under investigation.
