Uber Eats driver shot while picking up order in North Philadelphia, police say

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Authorities are searching for a man who shot an Uber Eats driver as he was picking up an order in North Philadelphia Thursday night.

It happened at Broad Street and Allegheny Avenue around 11 p.m.

Officials said the 25-year-old driver was parked along Broad Street to pick up an order when someone approached the car and shot him, then took off running south.

The victim was struck in the leg but is expected to physically recover.

Police are still looking for the suspect. Investigators are looking into whether a dispute inside a nearby Pizza Hut sparked the shooting.
