PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Days after the lights along Boathouse Row went blue and yellow in support of Ukraine, the Russian flag along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway was taken down and replaced with a Ukrainian flag. But hours later, a City of Philadelphia crew placed a Russian flag in its original location.
According to NBC10, a worker in a utility truck was seen under the Russian flag overnight, and soon after, a small Ukrainian flag hung in its place.
It’s unclear who made the change or if the city had any involvement.
Late Friday morning, city crews put the Russian flag back into place.
